Description:
A Personal Care Attendant provides one-on-one assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to age, illness, or disability. They help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Personal Care Attendants may also provide companionship and emotional support to their clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Pass written PCA test
- Knowledge of basic personal care techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and compassion
- Ability to lift and move clients as needed
- Reliable transportation for travel to clients' homes
