Job Summary
The primary role of the Paraprofessional is to assist in the delivery of services, utilizing
a team approach, including provision of services that will include direct and indirect
interventions to increase and restore an individual's ability to live successfully. A
Paraprofessional is a valuable member of the clinical team who provides support to the Qualified Professional. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, providing emotional support and implementing treatment plans.
What You’ll Do
As a Paraprofessional you will provide direct support to individuals with mental health
illnesses and/or Intellectual Development Disorder diagnosis. This service consists of
home and community based services. The Paraprofessional will ensure that an
individual's plans are being met by face-to-face therapeutic interventions. You will work
closely with the Care Team and caregivers to help them understand and identify
individual’s support needs. The ultimate goal of a Paraprofessional is to empower
individuals to lead fulfilling and productive lives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Assisting the client with developing daily and community living skills
● Assisting the clients with developing socialization skills
● Assisting the clients with developing adaptation skills
● Symptom monitoring and management skills
● Therapeutic monitoring
● Provide behavior and anger management interventions with the clients ●
Assisting with the implementation of each client’s Person-Centered Profile
● Providing structure and consistency as treatment programs are followed
● Complete daily service notes on each client
● Assist clients with compliance with program’s guidelines
● And any other duties as assigned by the Qualified Professional

● Ability to develop rapport with individuals and other professionals in a variety of
settings.
● Ability to set boundaries with individuals.
● Excellent clinical skills, including evidence-based practice, diagnostic information
(DSM 5), substance use intervention
● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
● Comfortable working independently in the community.
● Excellent oral and written communication.
● Ability to manage crisis situations both in person and over the phone
● HIPAA specific confidentiality and privacy rights
