A Certified Peer Support Specialist provides peer support and encouragement to individuals who are struggling with mental health issues, addiction, or other challenges. They use their own lived experience to help others navigate the recovery process, provide emotional support, and offer resources and guidance. Certified Peer Support Specialists work alongside mental health professionals to promote recovery and wellness in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner.

Requirements:
- Certification as a Peer Support Specialist from an accredited program
- Lived experience with mental health challenges, addiction, or other struggles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Knowledge of local resources and services for individuals in need
- Willingness to share personal experiences in a way that benefits others
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
