Description:
A Personal Care Attendant provides in-home assistance and support to individuals who are elderly, ill, or have disabilities. They help clients with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands. Personal Care Attendants also provide companionship and emotional support to their clients, helping them maintain a sense of independence and quality of life.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar program preferred
- Experience working with elderly, ill, or disabled individuals
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
- Background check and drug screening may be required
