Caregivers provide essential support and assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to age, illness, or disability. They help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship. Caregivers may work in a variety of settings including private homes, retirement communities, hospices, and long-term care facilities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in CPR and first aid
- Prior experience in caregiving or a related field
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, patience, and empathy
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and personal care tasks
