Description:
Caregivers provide assistance and support to individuals who are unable to independently perform their daily activities due to age, illness, disability, or other reasons. They may work in various settings such as private homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospitals. Responsibilities include helping with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and providing emotional support and companionship.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
3. Compassionate and patient demeanor
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to follow instructions and work independently
6. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR may be required
7. Physical stamina to assist with lifting and moving clients when needed
8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary
