Job Summary
The Qualified Professional (QP) works with the care team to provide goals and interventions in the home and community setting with the identified individuals and families. This role is crucial to the delivery of high-quality mental health services, helping individuals achieve goals and improve their overall well-being. The QP works with the individual and families to plan, coordinate, and monitor services through indirect and direct service to eligible individuals.
What You’ll Do
As a Qualified Professional you will provide supervision and oversight of services to individuals who have mental health needs. You will participate in the provision and development of structured care plans to individuals. Hiring, training and development, supervision, and monitoring, compliance over staff and individuals served are essential components of this role. The QP will be responsible for the supervision of a Paraprofessional. The QP will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can achieve their goals. The ability to adjust to changes with individuals and within the provider agency is necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Develop individualized short-term goals and interventions that will impact the individuals
● Conduct clinical and employee supervisory visits, ensuring highest standards of care and compliance.
● Provide ongoing development plans and annual performance evaluation for Paraprofessional staff.
● Participate and advocate for individuals in their Care Plan meetings. ● Monitor billing, maintain accurate documentation, and resolve grievances. ● Work closely with licensed professionals and other team members to provide comprehensive care.
● Involved in providing training and support to individuals in developing critical daily living and coping skills.
● Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
● Ability to develop rapport with individuals and other professionals in a variety of settings.
● Ability to set boundaries with individuals.
● Excellent clinical skills, including evidence-based practice, diagnostic information (DSM 5), substance use intervention
● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. ● Comfortable working independently in the community.
● Excellent oral and written communication.
● Ability to manage crisis situations both in person and over the phone ● HIPAA specific confidentiality and privacy rights
