Description:
A caregiver is responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to illness, age, or disability. This can include helping with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, medication reminders, accompaniment to doctor's appointments as well as providing emotional support and companionship. Caregivers play a vital role in helping their clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nurse Aide and certification in home health and experienced caregiving is a plus
- Prior experience as a caregiver or in a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and other physical tasks
- Ability to follow care plans and maintain confidentiality
- CPR License
