A Home Health Aide (HHA) is responsible for providing care to patients who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from illness in the comfort of their own homes. The HHA assists with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and medication management. They may also perform light housekeeping tasks and provide companionship to the patients.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.
3. Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of practice.
4. Good communication skills and ability to work well with patients and their families.
5. Compassion and empathy towards the elderly and disabled.
6. Ability to follow directions and work independently.
7. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and other activities.
